Every now and then I find myself pleasantly surprised when I click “play” for a new song. M.I.L.K.’s “If We Want To” was one such occasion.
The track comes as the Copenhagen-based group’s debut single, a tropical chill-wave experience that sets me instantly at ease.
The project is fronted by one man by the name of Emil Wilk, who insists on referring to it as more than just a solo project. His rationale is strong: he’s collabed with the likes of Mads Damsgaard Kristiansen from Reptile Youth, and Simon Torp Littauer who also worked with MØ, First Hate, Kill J and Soleima. Hopefully that means there’s a whole lot more in the pipeline, because this track is straight up quality.
