OMHU’s iconic TEDDY sofa has become one of the most copied sofas online. Instead of fighting the dupes, OMHU decided to beat them at their own game. They created TEDY – a limited-edition version of their own sofa with one “D” missing – and launched 100 pieces on the very platforms where the copies are sold, including Temu, Etsy and dupe.com. The stunt playfully turns the problem of being copied into a celebration of the original, while putting OMHU directly into the world of dupes and inviting people to consider what makes an original worth choosing.
