Apple Park
Apple Park is the new 176 acre headquarter campus of Apple Inc. located in Cupertino California.
Its signature architectural element is a four-story ring-shaped office building, sometimes dubbed “The Spaceship”. The enormous building is nearly a mile in circumference, contains approximately 2.8 million square feet of office space, and is home to 12,000 employees.
Surrounding it is a sculpted landscape of rolling hills, trees, and grasslands. Nearly 80% of the campus is green space and it features 9000 trees.
The Apple Park campus design was led by famed architect Norman Foster who worked closely with late Apple CEO Steve Jobs.
Apple Park was built at an estimated cost of $5 billion.
Ground was broken in 2013 and the first office workers began arriving in early 2017.
