As the government does not yet have any health or social security policy in place to help and assist victims, Talking Bones aims to bring the people of France closer to those suffering.
Voted Creative Work of the Week, the Grey Paris-led creative sees torture victim’s audio testimonies recorded onto their own medical x-rays and, when placed on a turntable, the x-rays can be played like a vinyl record.
In order to make torture a key issue of debate – Grey Paris sent the records to key influencers to create real conversation about this highly sensitive subject. It is hoped that by hearing the victims’ stories, whilst seeing their injuries, will force people to face the reality that torture is not a distant issue but a tangible reality in France.
