The legendary Mentos and cola experiment has been reimagined with the launch of the ‘Mentos Fizzooka’—a custom rocket launcher that turns the iconic fizzy reaction into an explosive gaming experience. Developed by Mentos in collaboration with BBH London, this wild invention resembles an oversized roll of Mentos strapped to a cola bottle. It’s making its debut in Fortnite Creative, bringing an exciting new dynamic to the gaming world.

For the next two weeks, Mentos Fizzookas will drop into some of the most popular Fortnite Creative maps, including ‘Piece Control 2v2,’ ‘Piece Control 1v1,’ ‘Troll Bed Wars,’ and ‘Sky Wars.’ Collectively, these maps attract over a million daily players, ensuring the Fizzooka makes a splash in the Fortnite community.

As the first branded tactical item in Fortnite Creative, the Mentos Fizzooka was designed in collaboration with top map creators. The goal? To give players a fresh and exhilarating alternative to their usual arsenal—one that’s both fun and strategically effective.

In Fortnite Creative, players build structures to evade attacks and gain a tactical advantage, but this gameplay element has long been a point of debate. The Mentos Fizzooka changes the game by blasting opponents across the map and becoming the only launcher specifically engineered to demolish player-built structures in a single shot. For those frustrated by snipers perched on towering forts, the battlefield is about to be leveled—literally.

This latest innovation is just another wild chapter in the storied history of Mentos and cola experiments, which first gained fame in 1999 and have been a viral sensation ever since on YouTube, TikTok, and beyond. With the Mentos Fizzooka, the classic experiment still has plenty of fizz left.

Hugues Leydier, Senior Global Brand Communications and Activation Manager at Mentos, summed it up best: “Mentos is all about refreshing the everyday, so what could be better than reinventing the Mentos and cola experiment while shaking up the gaming world at the same time?”

Taking things a step further, Mentos enlisted YouTube creators The Hacksmith to build a real-life version of the Fizzooka. The oversized launcher, measuring over three feet long, shoots a pressurized soda blast with the power of a firehose. In a YouTube video, The Hacksmith even demonstrated its force—strong enough to knock down a small shed.

To spread the fun even further, Mentos has manufactured 30 replica Fizzookas and sent them to influencers worldwide, letting them experience the fizzy mayhem firsthand.
