The majority of young Danes between 18 and 24 years old now get their news through social media. More than one in five say that they find it increasingly difficult to distinguish fake news from real news. This is a problem. As a society, we need to be able to trust our news media and know that what we see, hear, and read is true.
The purpose of this initiative is therefore to raise awareness about credible news sources while equipping us all to better differentiate fake news from real news.
All fake content we receive in connection with this initiative will be used as background information for our journalistic coverage of the issue of misinformation.
